
Dean André Pomerleau
LEAD INSTRUCTOR | ONTARIO DIVISION
Since a young age of 3 1/2 Dean has been on skates. He was inspired by his father that played hockey in Quebec and coach in Ontario. Dean’s passion for coaching started in the province of Quebec in 1986. In 2017, Dean was announced as head coach for the KW Rangers U15 National team for the KWBHL Association. The KW Rangers defeated three-time gold medallists (British Columbia Wolverines) to advance to the gold-medal game against the Edmonton Express. After playing the full game, completing two full overtimes and a five man shoot out, the team ended up with the Silver Medal in a great battle by the players.
Dean is a very strong skater, possesses great skills and an accurate shot. His unique and patient method of teaching has earned him the respect of many parents that have hired Dean to work privately with their children to develop their skills.
Playing Career
Dean played all of his Rep Minor Hockey in Southern Ontario and played a year in Quebec in the Eastern townships. Dean is still playing hockey to this day in making his 47th year on the ice.
Coaching Career
Dean first got involved in coaching in 1986 in Quebec with a Major Peewee Team and has coached many teams since. His highlight so far is being asked to be head coach of the KW Rangers U15 National Team to end up Winning a Silver Medal! Dean’s Goal one day is to be a coach of a Junior A or B Team in Ontario

Joey Deliva
LEAD INSTRUCTOR | QUEBEC DIVISION
From the first day, the metal blades of his skates touched the ice, Joey Deliva knew what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. Cultivating over 35 years of passion for hockey, Joey grew up playing in the greater Montréal area where he still coaches and lives with his family.
Playing Career
Joey played Midget AAA for the Lac-St-Louis Lions in 1990-91 and was drafted into the QMJHL by Les Olympiques de Hull. After 2 seasons in Hull, he was traded to and was captain of Les Harfangs de Beauport.
Coaching Career
Joey coached Pre-novice to midget in minor hockey from 1995 until 2008. In 2008 Joey`s unique and innovative way of teaching skills was noticed by many organizations in the hockey world and he was able to fulfill his lifelong dream of teaching hockey full-time. Since 2008 Joey has been extremely fortunate to be the lead on-ice instructor and program developer for the following:
- Hockey Canada skills camps throughout the province of Québec.
- The Montreal Canadiens Hockey School.
- Various sports study programs in the Montreal region.
Joey has also been a lead instructor for other programs across Canada, such as:
- The Chevrolet Safe and Fun Hockey program (2010-2013)
- Canadian Tire NHL Junior Skills Program (2011-2012)
- CCM skills camp 2012
Most recently, Les Voltigeurs du College Bourget announced the hiring of Joey as head coach of their RSEQ Juvenile division 1 hockey team for the 2016-2017 inaugural season. Students will benefit from their sports excellence program, athletic facilities, and beautiful campus situated in Rigaud Québec.

Dave Paré
ELITE GOALIE COACH
Dave is very well known in the surrounding areas of Montreal Hockey Circle. Having gained the respect of players, coaches and parents for his goalie coaching skills, with much success backing up his experience, among many; two-time Jimmy Ferrari Midget AAA Champion with Les Grenadiers de Chateauguay.
His devotion and his personal contact with goalies all around the area makes this proud father a huge addition to the North Ice team, especially as our elite goalie coach.

Jean-Raphaël To-Landry
ELITE PLAYER COACH
Jean-Raphaël is a young and energetic coach who built his hockey knowledge by playing his entire life and recently by coaching in hockey schools. He is a former player of the Collège Français de Longueuil in the LHJAAAQ where he won the Napa Cup in 2013 as an assistant captain. Since 2012, he has been working as Joey Deliva’s assistant coach at the Montreal Canadiens Hockey School. This Summer, for the 2016 edition J.R. will be a lead on-ice instructor. J.R. was also part of the 2015 Hockey Canada skills camps in Montreal and Quebec City as well as various skills clinics across the province. Jean-Raphaël is currently a physical and health education senior student at Université de Sherbrooke. His strengths are his skating abilities, stick handling (fakes and dekes) and his fun and unique approach to teaching. North Ice is extremely excited and proud to have Coach J.R. on our team.
